ACeFoS. Devices Management System

The management of the monitoring devices of distribution networks is a fundamental aspect of food security.

The Information and communication technologies have been crucial steps to optimize these business processes, using automated measurement systems in an integrated way data transmission systems for reading information based on GSM, GPRS, satellite or other signal transmission models .

This makes it possible to establish models of monitoring devices associated with food production systems, avoiding the need for collection and / or capture of information "in situ" of these systems, thus optimizing costs and eliminating drudgery and involving continuous displacements costly for workers who perform the measurements, while enabling the integrated management of the Service as invoicing and collection, customer service, ...

The Device Management System is deployed through the following elements:

  • Central Control System (PCC) which constitutes the central subsystem architecture able to centralize and manage information from Network Devices. The PCC acts as an entry point information to the platform by network administrators.
  • Local Control Stations (PCL), these subsystems are replicated on each device to be monitored. and are responsible for collecting and transmitting information gathered by the measuring device. Is synchronized with the Central Control Station to receive new information from the Platform and its parameterization.

Infrastructure based on a Smart Grid, enabled through XLC through the network of energy consumption, which is a Next Generation Networks (telecommunications network all-IP) and equipped with ZigBee wireless connection to a sensor network.
